TONDU TOO STRONG FOR RESOLVEN ÀT PANDY PARK

TONDU 30 Resolven 3 Right from the start of this encounter it was clear who had the upper hand Tondu piled on the early pressure and went ahead with a Josh Tatchell penalty on the 10 minute mark despite relentless pressure the home side could not break down a solid Resolven defence and it was the 33rd minute before Tatchell kicked a second penalty. Owen Evans replied with a penalty for the visitors before an injury time try for Tondu, a wonderful break by outside half Josh Tatchell put centre David Povey in for a great try , Tatchell added the two points to give his side a 16-3 half time lead The second half was almost all Tondu there was plenty for the home coaching team to be pleased about as their side took control, a 62nd minute try for hooker Jake Lewis converted by Tatchell effectively sealed the game for Tondu and the last try was another masterpiece some fine handling from the backs and this time it was centre David Povey that made the telling break to send wing Sam Grabham crashing over under the posts for Tatchell to convert. Another fine win for Tondu who travel all the way to Llanharan next Saturday for a SWALEC plate tie kick off 2.30 pm.
