Early pressure from Tondu gave them a first minute lead via a penalty from the boot of Paul Smithson but after that a more clinical Llanharan side took the game by the scruff of the neck. Tries from flanker Paul Winter and wing Rhydian Worgan both converted by full back Gavin Parsons gave the home side a deserved 14-3 half time lead. The second half started with a Parsons penalty before left wing Chris Poole sealed the game with a 60th minute try for the home side Tondu did manage a late consulation try from left wing Shane Kinsella but the visitors never reached the levels of recent weeks and Llanharan were good value for this 22-8 SWELEC plate win. Tondu are back in league action next Saturday with a visit to Ystradgynlais where they will have to improve on todays performance to keep up their title challenge.
