It only took a minute for Tondu to open their account through a Josh Tatchell penalty but even the home side seemed a class above their visitors it was the green stars got the games first try through left wing Nick Hughes after a great move down the left. Tatchell restored Tondu's lead with his second penalty midway through the half before full back Matthew Morgan scored their first try Tatchell adding the conversion and Tondu were good value for their lead. Ryan Crompton kicked a penalty for the visitors but gutsy work from second row captain Hywel Davies saw him snatch a late first half try for the Waterwheelers which Tatchell again converted to make it 20-8 at the break. Tondu began the second half in great fashion with a wonderful try for hooker Matthew Rowe again converted by Tatchell. The flood gates were now clearly open, and when Matthew Murphy sailed over for his second try it was a case of how many Tondu could score. But the visitors refused to lay down and scored a second try through Connor Condon for Crompton to convert to make the score 32-15 going into the final 15 minutes. The game ended in Matthew Morgan and Murphy style as the No8 and full back bagged a try apiece the first converted by that man Tatchell. Another two weeks off now for Tondu before the visit of Nantymoel on Nov 26th but they will pleased with the job done today to keep them in the hunt for promotion.
